Just one of them days

Yesterday started at a slow pace...Well not really, I was just processing a bit slowly.

After a night of fun and frolicking I set my alarm to wake me up at 9:30AM so I could make it back home in time to get ready for work. Of course, you can always count on Toronto traffic to help you out!

On a bright Sunday morning at 10am it took me more than an hour and a half to get back home when it usually just takes me an hour.

Why?!?! Oh why do people who have sworn an eternal pledge to never go over the speed limit insist on driving in the left lane??
Come on, I know I'm not the only one who has run into this, unless you are one of the culprits.
I have just reached the conclusion that common courtesy on the road has diminished. No one waves so say thank you anymore while driving, no one lets you pass if you are the faster moving vehicle, no one bothers to give an indicator anymore when changing lanes.

Why the lack of common courtesy?

Well for me it all comes out to careless and irresponsible drivers. People who don't check there rear view mirrors, people who insist below the speed limit on the left lane and don't let others pass, people who are busy chit chatting on there cellphones and last but not leaves, but definitely the worst, people who are TEXTING while driving! Yes I've seen it!!

People STOP!!!

Rules of the road according to ME:

1. Left lane is used for faster moving vehicles and for passing. - Keep you slow ass outta the left lane.

2. Cell phones are a distraction. - Buy a Blue Tooth headset, they are for $40 at Best Buy.

3. Be a polite driver. - Give others space when needed. Wave for people who are courteous to you.

4. Car pool lane is to be used during busy times when all other lanes are congested. - Don't get on the car pool lane and set cruise control at a 100!! There is a reason why the carpool lane is on the LEFT side of the road and not on the right side.

5. Read view mirrors should be checked every 4-5 seconds. - If someone is riding up your ass, it means you are going to slow for him/her and you should let him/her pass. You dad didn't pay for the road and other drivers have as much of a right to drive on it as you do.

6. Use your indicator when changing lanes. - Did you get a discount for buying a car without indicators? No. So use the indicators which are on your car. Doesn't take that much of an effort.

The rules are simple enough to follow. Makes your life and life of others a little more tolerable by driving sensibly. We spend a lot of time on the road. Please don't spend more of that time annoying me with your terrible driving habits.

Until next time...
